Start by adding 3 cups of water to the spray bottle and then add 1 1/2 cups of vinegar.
Next, add about 10-20 drops of dawn dish soap to the mixture. It doesn’t have to be exact. I usually add around 10 drops so it doesn’t suds up in the bottle too much.
Once you have added the soap you can add in the lemon essential oil. I like using lemon essential oils in the homemade all-purpose cleaner because it makes covers up the vinegar smell.
Plus, the lemon essential oil is a disinfectant so it will be great to kill off germs. Add about 20 drops of lemon essential oil to the spray bottle.
I am not brand picky about essential oils, but I do love Fabulous Frannie essential oils. I have noticed that they are just as good as the more expensive brands but cost much less. They are usually less than $7 a bottle.
Once you have everything added to the spray bottle you can gently shake one or two times to mix everything. Don’t shake too much or you will have a bunch of suds from the dawn soap. When you have it all mixed you are ready to use it.
Using Homemade All Purpose Cleaner
To use the homemade all purpose cleaner just spray it on and then wipe it off using a paper towel or microfiber cloth.
When I spray it on extra germy surfaces like the toilet I like to let it sit for a minute or two before I wipe it off.
The multi purpose cleaner works great in kitchens and baths. You can use it to clean sinks, toilets, and appliances. I also like to use it to clean down light switches and door handles to keep them free from germs.
