Honey & Baking Soda Face Mask to Reduce Inflammation

This great mask takes advantage of baking soda’s natural anti-inflammatory traits and combines it with the powerful abilities of exfoliating lemon juice and soothing honey. Not only is it great to reduce inflammation in your skin, but it’s also an excellent diy facemask to help reduce acne in oily skin types.

How to do it:

  • 1 teaspoon lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Add lemon juice, honey, and baking soda to a bowl. Blend together well and apply to your whole face and neck if desired while avoiding the eyes (it will sting if you get it in!). Don’t scrub, and leave on for about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the homemade face mask with warm water and then finish by washing your clean face with cold water to help close your skin’s pores.

Because lemon makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight, make sure to use this mask in the evenings only, and apply a good sunscreen the next day to protect your glowing skin. Moisturizing and Hydrating Face Mask

This diy facemask blends the health benefits of avocado, honey, and oats in a wonderful way. The fats, compounds, and vitamins found in avocados may help speed skin repair and improve chronic skin conditions like eczema and acne. While honey’s natural antibacterial and humectant ability complements this , the oats’ starches, sugars and oils further increase this mask’s moisturizing ability. Oats are also known to contain a compound called avenanthramides, which acts as both an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

How to do it:

  • ½ avocado
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • ¼ cup of oats

Mash the avocado, honey, and oats until they create a paste. Apply to whole face with fingers and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse your face with warm water to remove the mask.
