Following your usual skincare regimen is still a good idea, but sometimes you need to freshen up your routine.
These easy, at home face-masks are the way to do it. Best of all, they’re 100% organic!
Cucumber and sugar mask
Cucumber is filled with Vitamin C and caffeic acid, which have amazing skin benefits. Cucumber is great for the skin as it has hydrating and nourishing properties that help soothe inflammation, balance oil production and reduce puffiness. Sugar also contains glycolic acid, which encourages cell turnover for youthful-looking skin, and its small particles are a great exfoliant as well. We recommend brown sugar because its particles are a bit more gentle on the skin in a homemade face mask, but if you would like more exfoliating qualities, feel free to use white sugar.
How to do it:
- 1 fresh cucumber
- 1 tbsp of sugar
Mash together cucumber and some sugar and refrigerate for 1 hour. Apply it onto your face and let it dry. Wash off in about 15 minutes. Enjoy your hydrated and glowing skin!
Cinnamon and honey face mask
Cinnamon is another powerful ingredient that nature has been kind to give us. It is high in antioxidants, contains anti-inflammatory properties and as a result, it works beautifully on pores and acne.
Honey is naturally antibacterial and is full of antioxidants. This makes it a great remedy for acne and dryness.
